About Us
Urban Gardens offers Kirksville and North Missouri residents an authentic pumpkin patch, corn maze, and farm experience right within the Kirksville city limits. The Bender family owns the land on which we grow pumpkins, gourds, corn, tomatoes and other produce to sell at farmer’s markets. Plus, we planted over 1000 apple trees. They should be ready for picking by next year–the 2027 Season.
Our mission is to bring kids and families together because Kirksville doesn’t offer many options for affordable family fun. We hope Urban Gardens can bring joy to kids, students, and parents alike. Every year, we try to add something new and fun to the pumpkin patch. This year, you’ll enjoy meeting our new Mini Pigs and the Jersey Dairy Cow in the petting zoo. We hope to see you soon!
